Video: File Formats of Our HDRi Maps and Backplates

Did you know that CGI.Backgrounds offers a variety of professional file formats for our HDRi Maps and Backplates? In this video, Roberto Hegeler shares all the details on our file format offerings.
The formats available include DNG, EXR, HDR and more, as well as options for our proprietary and industry-leading RAY.HDR calibrated HDRi maps .

Don't Pay Twice

The best part? Once you purchase a specific asset from our collection, you can download it multiple times, in any format of your choice.
That means that if your needs change over time--for example if you need an EXR one day and an HDR another day--you can download the same image in both formats without paying twice.

Raw Options for Backplates

In addition to these standard formats, we also offer TIFFs and DNGs of our Backplates. This is a unique offering relative to files from traditional stock agencies, which are rarely in a raw format.
With our DNGs, you have the freedom to control the editing and lighting process within your file to ideally tailor a backplate to your unique 3D render.
Because many of our backplates are shot with medium format digital cameras, you'll also get unparalleled quality and file size, no matter what image format you choose.
